Here at The Dog S’Paw, we have the best intrest of your pet in mind and will do whatever is appropriate for the well being of your dog.  However, if the services of a veterinarian are required the owner extends permission for treatment.

De-Matting Policy:

Keeping the best intrest of your dog in mind, should your dog have severely matted/tangled/knotted hair, your dog will be shaved down. If the dog has minimal matting the dog will be brushed out for an extra fee. 

The Dog S’Paw will not be held liable for what might be uncovered on a badly neglected coat, or irritation caused by shaving short due to matting or lack of grooming. We recommend regular grooming be done every 2 months and maintained at home between visits to us. Owners can pre-book their dog's next appointment prior to leaving the salon.

Appointment Policy:

In the event you can not make your appointment we ask that you call us 24 hours in advance. If you do not call or "No Show", full grooming price will be charged for the missed appointment and future appointments must be prepaid. Your next appointment will be writen on your receipt prior to leaving our salon, and a reminder card will be mailed to the address on record a week ahead of your scheduled appointment.

Please let us know if your dog is required to stay all day at The Dog S’Paw when you set the appointment up. We book dogs every hour and we close when the last appointment is finished. Owners must pick up their dogs within 30 minutes of our call or a Day Care fee of $5.00 will be charged.

Please be on time for your appointment. If you are more then 10 minutes late, a late fee will be charged, or your dog may be rescheduled if we can not work the dog in between other appointments.

Before You Bring Your Dog:

Please inform us if your dog has ever bitten, or is aggressive. We reserve the right to refuse any dog that is deemed uncontrollable or vicious. A grooming charge may be administered accordingly to any work which has been performed.

All dogs are required to be vaccinated annually and must show proof from veterinarian of vaccinations to us. (Not tags) Without proof, the dog(s) will not be groomed.  (Distemper/Parvo and Rabies are required.)

We request that you do not feed your dog prior to grooming and make sure your dog has relieved itself prior to entering our salon.  Please respect our salon and our neighbors when bringing your dog to our studio. Stoop and Scoop is the best policy, please bring bags.  Should you need a bag, please ask.

All Dogs must be collared and leashed when entering and leaving the salon. 

Picture Policy:

When bringing a dog to us for the first time, if you have a picture of how you want your dog grooming please bring it for our reference.  You may not get the picture back after the groom, so be sure it's one you can part with.

We will from time to time take pictures of your dog and use them on the website, for advertising, or for informational purposes.  If you would like a copy of the picture please give us your email and we will send them to you. At that time you can also sign up to receive discount emails from time to time.  If you would not like us to take your pets photo, that needs to be specified with us as well.
